Rev. Andrew C. Patty (Lutheran) is Pastor of St. John's Church in the West Village. They are passionate about creating inclusive communities of faith that centers on personal engagement and learning as central to our spiritual development. They are an openly Queer minister that has used their gifts to enrich our communities and churches by advocating for LGBTQ+ people in our society. In 2017, they were awarded by LGBTQ-RAN as an emerging LGBTQ+ faith leader and has served that organization as a national advisor since that year. Another area of interest of Pastor Patty is young adult faith development. They are currently working on a PhD from the University of Kansas in this area of study.
Rev. Patty received their undergraduate degree from Sewanee and their seminary degree from Duke University.
In their free time, they love fashion and life in the city like Carrie Bradshaw would and enjoy a good night of jazz like Rev. Sydney Chambers from Grantchester.
