Greetings to All,
Hope you will join us for our CCC 25th Annual Summer Outing. You are welcome to bring your family and friends. Our get together will be on Sunday,
August 23rd from 9.00AM to 2.00pm.
Many thanks to all who have contributed thoughts, ideas and help including Wayne, Scott, Virginia, Gloria, Kate, Ian and Greg. Please note for lunch we have decided to do something different for our CCC 25th Anniversary summer outing. Weather permitting we will gather for a “picnic” at an outdoor plaza in the Meat Packing District, Or, if it is rainy or too warm, we will move indoors to Chelsea Market’s open tables on the lower level. Note: You can either pack and bring your own lunch or choose a take out meal along the way or at Chelsea Market.
NOTE: You can join us at different times along the way if you wish.
The following is the time table.
9AM and 10AM EMPIRE DINER
210 Tenth Avenue - Corner of 22nd Street and 10th Avenue
Favorite items include buttermilk biscuits and rye pancakes.
10.15AM Assemble on THE HIGH LINE
23rd Street and Tenth Avenue
There is an ELEVATOR from Street level up to HIGHLINE. Elevator is located on South Side of 23rd Street and 10th Avenue near the Fire Trucks.
10.15AM to 11AM - Leisurely walk on HIGHLINE from 23rd Street to 14th Street. Wayne Kammerer, who is an arborist, has kindly offered to point out some of the indigenous trees along the way which include flowering dogwood, gray birch, and bigleaf magnolia.
12 Noon - 12.45PM
14th Street and 11th Avenue
Gloria has kindly offered to give us some background on this new Hudson River project.

12.45 to 1.00PM
Exit Little Island from the 12th Street Exit. Walk past The Whitney Museum on 12th Street to corner of 12th and Ninth Avenue to Outdoor Plaza with Red Umbrellas.
